Sustainable CBD continues to advocate and educate the public on health and wellness issues. Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy (LGMD) are rare neuromuscular diseases which are known to cause muscle weakness and muscle wasting. There is currently no known cure or treatment for these progressive diseases. However, promising research is being carried out which gives hope to many individuals.
The sixth annual, “Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy Awareness Day” will be celebrated worldwide on September 30th, 2020. This year, we ask that you join us in spreading awareness for LGMD. Help us draw attention to this group of rare neuromuscular diseases, which can impact the lives of many from childhood through adulthood. LGMD occurs in all parts of the world and among all ethnic groups.
This year, Girdie, which represents the lime emoji, is the new Ambassador for Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy Awareness. Girdie personifies awareness between school children and people who work to develop treatments for LGMD. You can help raise awareness for this worthy cause on social media by by printing out Girdie and sharing with family and friends. Use #LGMDAWARENESS to connect and unite our communities.
